Cars, airplanes, even spaceships that float weightlessly above the ground and rise into the air and glide away as if moved by magic. Completely silent and pollution-free. Sounds like a distant dream of the future? Like pure science fiction? Not necessarily…
When we discuss the transportation of tomorrow, we always talk about electric cars, e-fuels or fuel cells. An inventor from Starnberg: He is working on a magnetic drive without moving parts and without a rail system like the Transrapid.
The model-sized catamaran is still sailing through a 2 x 2 m test basin in the Tomorrow’s Motion office. But soon the full-size ship will be transporting visitors and locals on Lake Starnberg just a few meters away – powered by a magnetic field. “In six months, we want to test the ‘Poseidon’ project on the lake for the first time with a 1.2-meter boat,” says Lutz May, founder of the company.
Tomorrow’s Motion, based in Starnberg, develops and produces advanced electromagnetic drive solutions for applications in space (maneuvering and recovery of satellites), on water (self-propelled objects, intelligent buoys) and other areas.
Lutz May, Managing Director of Tomorrows’s Motion GmbH, gave us an insight into the potential applications of the company’s own maintenance-free drive technology and its use in the space and maritime sectors.
The demonstration of autonomous buoys, which are able to maintain the specified position with the help of their own drive technology, was very exciting.
We look forward to continuing to accompany the exciting electromagnetic drive technologies and to supporting Tomorrow’s Motion GmbH with the possibilities of the TechHUB SVI.
The TechHUB SVI thus enables an effective exchange of know-how and resources between the players involved, which strengthens the innovative power of the entire industry.
TRANSFORMATIONSLOTSE ON TOUR – A GUEST AT TOMORROW’S MOTION GMBH
“Welcome to the Future” is the motto of Tomorrow’s Motion GmbH, which is setting new standards for drive technologies with its innovations.
The transformation experts Dirk Maaß and Dr. Marcel Kaspar were able to see this for themselves during their recent visit. This is because the patented technology is a drive system with no moving parts that requires neither mechanics nor generates waste products. Lutz May, CEO of Tomorrow’s Motion GmbH: “Bayern Innovativ can be a driving force for us to make our patented technology better known, to provide new access to interested partners and to drive development even further by arranging suitable funding programs.”
